April 06, 2019 The ground was wet, the mud was thick, and the sky was gray, but the family and friends of Slattengren Farms happily collected the sweet sap from local woods. One of the challenges of collecting sap the old-fashioned way is that pulling a 500-gallon tank of sap through the woods inevitably makes large ruts.
